I was waiting to post about my trip to Indiana back in March because I was waiting on some pictures from my sister. I'm pretty sure she has over 1,000 pictures to sort through from that weekend, though, so I might as well just post now or it won't ever happen.
The trip was so, so fun. I went there, of course, for my brother Isaac's wedding to Dominika Roberts, who I really like. I'm so happy for Isaac and I was so glad to be there on his special day. The rest of the week was really fun, too, though, filled with other family activities. I have lots of pictures from that week, so I'm going to do a few different posts.
3.27.12 - 3.30.12
The first night I was there I stayed at my sister Tessa's house and then hung out with Jonah and Emerson the next day, since they were out of school. We went for a run (they rode bikes), played games, and watched a movie. That afternoon my mom came up, picked up the twins from preschool, then brought me and the older two back to her house.
The next day, we picked up my aunt VoNique and uncle Jared from the airport and went over to Franklin Central to watch Thomas and Micah's track meet. I'm never able to go to any of their sporting events, so I was happy that this fell on a day when I could go. Micah does hurdles and high jump and Thomas throws discus and shot put. We were able to watch both of Micah's events and caught Thomas's shot put.
She's second from the left. I ran hurdles in seventh grade and wasn't ever nervous, but for some reason watching her run them this time was almost painful for me. I was so afraid someone was going to hit the hurdle with their knee and break their leg for sure. No one did, though. Phew.
While watching Thomas throw, VoNique, Jared, and I were enjoying a particularly cross coach from the other team who was getting pretty upset with his JV throwers who apparently weren't paying enough respect to the person throwing. Apparently, shot put is to be observed much like golf - quietly.
On Thursday and Friday I met Thomas and Micah respectively at school and took them out to lunch (one at a time). I got my Big Cheese fill, along with some Mexican food, and got to spend quality time with my littles, who are both bigger than me now.
Friday night we gathered up at Tessa's house for a barbecue. It stormed on our way up there (I love Indiana thunderstorms!), so we mostly stayed inside. Isaac and Dominika took some pictures to display at their reception. I'm pretty sure these are the ones that didn't make the cut. I'm not really sure why.
My aunt VeNicia flew in that day, as well.
I'm not really sure what this is, but I love it.
Do I have the cutest nieces and nephews ever? Yes. Yes, I do.
