Tomorrow = Doomsday.
The Half Marathon has arrived. I think that was something like #4 on my list of resolutions for this year.
Oddly enough, I'm not really nervous about the race itself. I'm under no impression that I will be competing in any form. I'll be happy if I just run 2/3 of it. The part I'm dreading? Being up early enough to make a 5:00 am bus to the start line. You know, so we can assure an on-time 7:00 start. Because it's necessary for everyone to be at the starting line over an hour early in order to start on time.
What's that? You don't think running 13.1 miles is enough of a challenge? Fine. Do it in the middle of the night. Great.
The oddest part of all? This week I signed up for another half marathon in September.
I did a 5K yesterday. I know if I'd had to run one more step I would have died.
ReplyDeleteI hope you survived your four 5K's in a row.
Kaley I can't wait to hear about it, I am sure you did great and that it was so much fun. All those people, all that positive energy, I am sure it was awesome. You will have to let us know how it went. :)
