My Least Favorite Holiday

I hate Halloween. I think the decorations are ugly (orange and black? really?), witches and spiders are nasty, and I hate the stress of thinking of a costume. I also hate being scared. I don't understand why it's appealing to purposely make yourself feel that way. To me, it's like intentionally driving the Spirit away. I don't get it. The only good thing about Halloween is candy corn. And my really cute nieces and nephews in costume. I never get to see that, though, so that doesn't count.

Our ward had a Halloween party. I had zero desire to go, but I like my friends and they were all going so I caved. My costume was lame, but I don't care. What was I? You choose: secretary, teacher, librarian, or reporter.

Erik - hot dog, Angela - Catwoman, me, Sarah - Bad Sandy, and Cody - a bunch of grapes

Jason and Aubrey were the most impressive zombies I've ever seen. They won the award for scariest costume.

Jerri and Matt were Avatars. They won best all around costume. Our ward is so popular!

Here's Sandy singing a little karaoke with Catwoman and a zombie as back-up singers.

Charlie Brown (Derrick) sang right back with his hot dog and grapes back-up singers. Well, I guess Cody was more like a grape stem at this point.

Happy belated Halloween!
