Everybody, Everybody Wants to Love

Ingrid Michaelson is AMAZING.

A few weeks ago, Jaime and I met her friends Krysti and Kaylee up in Salt Lake for an Ingrid Michaelson concert. I've been an Ingrid fan for a few years now (thanks to you, Potter!) and tickets were only 16 dollars. Yeah. Necessary. When we got up there, it was raining and snowing off and on. And it was really cold. She played at a place called In the Venue (I know, I don't understand how the name of a place can start with a preposition. Why not just The Venue? How confusing is that? "Where's Ingrid playing?" "Oh, she's playing in In the Venue." Weird.) and it's all general admission so you have to stand outside in line until they're ready to let you in. Yeah...not doing that. We hung out in the car for a while then decided to get some food. So we had a nice dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and when we got back, there was no line! We couldn't see her very well, but it was still fabulous.

She was really impressive live. Her vocals were amazing, and she was really great at involving the crowd. And she was so funny! It really was one of my favorite concerts ever. If you ever get a chance to see her live, do it. She did a lot of her own songs but for her encore, she did "Toxic" by Britney Spears. And it was good stuff! Here's one of my favorite songs from her new album:

After the concert, we came out to this. Gross. Snow in October is not ok. Snow is only ok on December 25. I also came out to a parking ticket. Krysti and Kaylee got there before us so they told us we could just park behind them since we'd be leaving at the same time. It didn't matter if they were boxed in. Apparently SLC police do not agree. Lame.
