It's become somewhat of a tradition to decorate for Christmas right after Thanksgiving. I love the lights of the Christmas tree, and goodness knows it's a lot of work to get everything set up, so I want to enjoy them as long as possible!
But...somehow setting up the tree always turns into just a big mess while we run out to get more Christmas lights because somehow the lights from last year have stopped working. But the end result is worth it! This was our first Christmas in this apartment, and I loved having the stair rail to hang the stockings on.
Seriously though - how cute is this turkey with her little pigtails?! Thank goodness for Marco Polo.
Brandon got himself an early Christmas present - a metal detector. When he brought it home, he immediately started searching our backyard for buried treasure.
Between school, work, and church responsibilities, Brandon is a busy guy. But he always takes time to play one-on-one with Jackson. It warms my heart and inspires me to be more present with the people I love.
Our apartment complex had a Christmas party, where Santa came and brought each of the kids a gift. The Santa looked an awful lot like Brandon. :) Jackson was excited to get a gift and decorate ornaments with his cousin Nevaeh.
Jackson participated in a Christmas program at his mom's church. He sang a song called "Oh What a Special Night" about the different stable animals' celebration of Christ's birth, complete with animal sounds. It was pretty adorable, and he did a great job.
