Brandon loves camping. I'm on the fence about it. I really enjoy it if the weather is perfect - no rain, not too hot, not too many bugs. And you know, in Indiana it's not always like that. As previously mentioned, our camping at my grandma's on the 4th of July was terrible. It stormed that evening so everything was wet and it was so hot and humid. I'm not into it.
But we did go camping two other times that summer which were lovely.
The first was to Raccoon Lake. I was a bit nervous because it rained quite a bit the day we drove down there, but the rain stopped by the time we got down there, so none of our stuff was wet and the weather was so nice the next day.
The boys fished, we played in the lake, and then explored the shoreline.
On another trip, we went to Cataract Lake with the Young Men and Young Women in our ward. We only camped one night, but the next day we played at the beach and boated. Jackson wouldn't get out on a tube, but he loved being in the boat watching everyone else get pulled. Brother Ingram, who used to be in our ward, took Brandon full-throttle and Jackson thought it was hilarious when he was thrown from the tube.
Too much fun in the sun is tiring! This scene was before we'd even gotten out of the park, I think. We're excited for summer to come back!
