I love Indiana. Lots of people will tell you it's not that pretty of a place, but it's hard to beat tall, green cornfields in late summer or cotton candy skies and colorful fields of wildflowers in the spring. Yes, mountains are beautiful, but when you don't have them, there's so much more of the sky to see!
Jackson's best bedtime buddy is his spinosaurus "Buddy," but his original stuffed animal is Sergeant the Bear and it never stops being adorable to check in on him and see him cuddling either of them. He's such a good boy at bedtime (and all the time). When we first got married, he struggled going to sleep alone and staying in his bed, but we implemented a few routines and since then, he's been a champ. He never puts up a fight and stays in his bed until he falls asleep - which sometimes takes a while! He still wakes up too early for my liking, but that's only because anything earlier than 9 am is earlier than my liking.
Brandon likes Tim McGraw a lot and when we were dating, one of my favorite memories involved hanging out at his apartment while he was puttering around, singing Tim McGraw to himself. It was one of my first glimpses into what life would be like living together as a married couple, and it was intoxicating in the best way. When I found out Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were coming to Indy, I bought tickets and managed to keep it a secret for 6 months. Unfortunately, the acoustics were really bad and it was nearly impossible to understand them, but it was still a fun night.
Brandon is such a great dad. He always spends focused, individual time with Jackson and they have so much fun together. It makes me so excited to have him as the father of our future children.
I LOVE SPRING! It makes me so happy when the weather starts to turn warmer and everything comes to life. I always feel more motivated to get out and move more - this was a fun Saturday morning walk together to the neighboring complex's playground.
