Honeymoon in Branson

We had a trip to Utah planned for a couple weeks after the wedding so we couldn't take the time or money to go on a big honeymoon, but we had previously purchased a small vacation package so we were able to take a few days in Branson, Missouri. We stayed the first night in our apartment then drove down to Branson. The wedding was wonderful and I really did enjoy the planning. But it was such a relief to be finally married! And really, how adorable is this guy?!

On the way down, we stopped at a McDonald's in Effingham, Illinois that had dip cones that were daaaaannng good. I'm pretty sure they were double-dipped and it was amazing. We stopped there on the way back, too, but they weren't as chocolatey.

We stayed the first night in St. Louis, then went to church at the most adorable branch. Their building was the smallest free-standing LDS church I've ever seen! And...it was windy.

On our way out of St. Louis, we stopped to see the LDS temple there.

In Branson, we walked around the riverfront, had dinner at a sushi place (Brandon's choice, even though he doesn't like sushi (<3 a="" acrobat="" chinese="" in="" p="" show.="" then="" took="">

The show was in Yakov Smirnoff's theater, whom I had never heard of but apparently was a famous comedian and had a successful career in showbiz. He apparently is also really weird. These bathrooms were the strangest thing.

On the way back, we stopped at the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, and I'm pretty sure it was Brandon's favorite part of the trip. It's a fisherman's dreamland, live animals and all. It is there that we also got roped into another vacation package. I'm not mad about it, though.
