Memorial Day Weekend 2016

Now that I had moved in and all the other furniture was in, we could start to figure out how we wanted things to work in our apartment. A friend of my roommate's was moving to Washington, D.C. so she offered some of her furniture to us. We'd taken two cream-colored chairs from her but decided we really only had room for one and one of them was in pretty rough shape anyway. So Brandon threw it off the balcony then he and Jackson got it over to the dumpster. Such a cute little father-son team. :)

Jackson loves this chair. If he's watching TV or hanging out in the living room, he usually chooses this as his spot and he never sits on it normally. He's always upside down or hanging off of it in some way.

On Memorial Day, we both had the day off and we had Jackson so we went down to my grandma's farm to introduce Jackson to farm life. He saw peacocks, hay bales, cows, and a barn. His favorite part? My grandma's dog.

After our farm trip, Jackson went back to his mom's and Brandon and I went downtown for dinner, since many restaurants offer special menus or discounts for military members on Memorial Day. We ate at McCormick and Schmick's and walked around the circle a bit. This was our last real date as a non-married couple!
