The indisputable best part of working in a school is having school breaks. Having two weeks off over the holidays is fabulous, especially with so many family members in town!
One night, we had a family girls' dinner at Fire by the Monon. It was a new restaurant to all of us, and we had a great time talking the night away. I'm grateful to have reliable, loving people in my life who are a wonderful support. We missed Dominika, who was with some of her relatives. It was especially nice to spend some time with Alisha to get to know her better.
I tried to make them C-shaped pancakes for breakfast, but it was harder than I'd expected. I need a griddle. Sure, I'll blame it on my pan.
I was going to work out the next morning, but then I found out that neither of them had seen Aladdin, so we had to fix that ASAP. Obviously. Priorities.
