One of the best parts of having Thomas playing on an independent football team is that they play all over the country - including close to us! Their closest game of the 2016 season was in Cincinnati, so my parents, Jacob and Nalon, Jonah and Emerson, and I all travelled down for the game, along with about every other Mormon in Indiana. Brandon had drill, unfortunately, so he wasn't able to go. It was a GORGEOUS day for early November - 70s and sunny. Perfect for football!
Before the game, we visited Thomas at his hotel, and then after an exciting win, we were also able to greet the team and see Thomas again for a minute - thanks, BYU, for paying for Thomas to visit us!
Parachuters brought in an American flag before the game - they honored military members throughout the game.
Great (free!) seats - it pays to know a player!
