Fall Fun

1. Enjoying some of the last rays of warm summer sun on the grass out back. The twins were showing their twin sibling...umm...love...by tackling each other.

2. I went to the eye doctor and they dilated my pupils for the first time in my life. I feel like they underplayed the effect it would have on my vision. It was so weird to not be able to see anything close up. I felt like I was elderly when I'd have to try to get things as far away from my face as possible in order to read them. The sun was super bright on my sensitive eyes, so I had to put as many layers as possible between them and the sun.

3. I couldn't see, so I just took a nap. That night I'd committed to going to a bonfire, so I had to go, but it took me a while to wake myself up from my nap. It took even longer for my eyes to get back to normal. My friend James Gillespie entertained us with a terrifying hayride. Translated: an insane ride through the dark woods in a wagon behind his lawnmower.

4. A while ago, the missionaries challenged me to reread my mission journals to reignite my missionary fire. I'm not sure it did that, but I did have a few good laughs, including about this excerpt about meeting a descendant of a pirate. Apparently that's important enough to record in a journal.

5. I never go to our YSA branch FHE, but one night they went to an apple orchard which I thought sounded cool, so I went. The real treat is that they had a raspberry patch which you could just eat from for free. WHA?!?! It was amazing and I ate so many raspberries.

There had been a family getting photographs taken of them in the orchard, so Natalie, Lauren, and I decided to take our family photo. Except you're just pretty limited to what you can do with a selfie...
