We weren't moving very fast in the morning, so we were still at Jayne's house at lunch time. We went to lunch with Jayne and her husband McKay.
When I found out Jayne was getting married last year, I was really happy for her, but I had a hard time imagining what her husband would be like. Jayne is one of my favorite people ever. She's hilarious, she's creative, she's clever, she's genuine, she's nice. She's guaranteed to just make you feel good. So imagining someone that could complement that was hard to do. We didn't talk to McKay a whole lot, but from our time with him at lunch, I can tell that he and Jayne are a great fit. He's also hilarious and very generous. We had such a great time with them. I wish we would have planned to spend more time there. (I think this trip should've been about three weeks. There was just so much to see and do that we didn't have time for.)
A Georgia peach water tower.
We got a pretty late start that day so we didn't make it far, but we did make it out of Georgia, through South Carolina, and into North Carolina, which is the sign you see here.
We drove past Charlotte, North Carolina, where the Bachelorette Emily Maynard lives and we were half-tempted to go try to find her house. We decided that might get us a restraining order so we refrained. The rain was pretty intense that day, too, so we called it quits kinda early and went to bed, hoping the rain would ease up the next day.
That was some good mex mex food! I could go for some tacos about now mmm....
ReplyDeleteKaley! You are seriously way too nice, that just made my whole day! :) I loved having you guys stop by that was so much fun to catch up and I'm glad you got to meet McKay, he says on a scale from 1 to the Bachelorette he thinks you guys are at least an Emily Maynard, ok he might not have said those exact words, but I'm pretty sure if he had thought of it, that's exactly what he would have come up with! :)
