I don't usually like to post feelings about big events. I feel like I'm jumping on some kind of bandwagon. Especially when it didn't affect my life very personally. But in honor of all those whose lives were directly affected, I will.
Ten years ago in my third period French class, a teacher told us this event would change our world forever. I had no idea what he was talking about and didn't pay much attention. But it did. And in some ways, I think it has changed the world for the better. Obviously, the event was tragic and thousands of people have lost their lives since. But as a country, we're stronger. And as a people, we're more considerate.
I love this country and I always will. I hope it will always be worthy of my respect.
